Amazfit GTR 2e Review & Specifications: Price, Design, Performance and Battery Backup – Amazefit has a stronghold in the Indian smartwatch market. As it is, many Amazfit smartwatches are also present in the market with good features in the budget. To further strengthen its grip, the company has recently launched two new smartwatches Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e. These smartwatches were launched in China last year and are now launched in the Indian market. Of these, we have used Amazfit GTR 2e for several days.
Amazfit GTR 2e Review: Price and Specifications
The Amazfit GTR 2e is priced at Rs 9,999 and can be purchased in Obsidian Black, Slate Gray and Moss Green colour. Talking about the features, the Amazfit GTR 2e will get a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and the display is borderless. The resolution of the display is 454×454 pixels. It has a 471mAh battery, which claims a 45-day backup. Apart from this, it also has a blood oxygen monitor sensor. There are 90 sports modes in this watch.
Apart from this, it has features such as a 24-hour Hurt Rate Monitor, PAI Health Assistant System, Sleep Monitoring and Stress Monitoring. This watch also has a notification alert for offline voice assistant and incoming calls. Talking about the sensor, it has an acceleration sensor, gyroscope, 3 axes geomagnetic sensor, ambient light, air pressure and temperature monitor sensor. The watch weighs 32 grams and is 5ATM water-resistant.
Talking about the design, this watch will give you the feel of a premium watch. The watch is light and the strap is soft. In such a situation, there is no problem even after using it for 24 hours. The body of the watch is aluminium alloy and plastic. Two buttons are given which are on the right side. The display has protection from tempered glass and it comes with an anti-fingerprint coating.
The display is good and but the bezel is slightly more. The quality of the strap provided with the watch is good. The strap has good silicon quality. The display does its job properly even in harsh sunlight. The special thing is that the watch also has an Always On Display feature.
Now as far as performance is concerned, the Amazfit GTR 2e can be connected to the company’s Zepp app. The watch has a special feature and that is the body temperature sensor. This does not give you this feature in the expensive Amazfit GTR 2. The company has given its operating system in it. Switching apps and moving from one feature to another is not a difficult task. The display is vibrant. Watch works fast.
All the notifications coming on the phone can be seen on the watch. The Amazfit GTR 2e competes with the Mi Watch Revolve and Realme Watch S Pro. You get a smart recognition in the watch, that is, your activity is an automatic track. Apart from this, it also has GPS.
In terms of accuracy, the slip tracking feature works perfectly. Records watch from wakeup time to deep sleep. We tested the Heart Rate Monitor and the Blood Oxygen Monitor with the Apple Watch Series 6. In our investigation, GTR 2e had a low 5 point reduction compared to Apple Watch. On the watch, you can sync music and listen to headphones through the watch.
You do not get Bluetooth calling in this watch. If a phone comes, you can disconnect it or make it silent. For connectivity, only Bluetooth is available. Wi-Fi is not supported. We used this watch with the iPhone 12 Mini, although you can also use it with Android.
As far as the battery is concerned, according to the company’s claim about its battery, the battery life will be 45 days in basic usage, 24 days in typical use and 12 days in heavy use.
During the review, we used the Always-on display, a 24-hour heart rate monitor, GPS and sleep tracking, so we had to charge the smartwatch on the 11th day. It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge. A magnetic dock is available for charging. Wireless charging is not supported.
Overall, the Amazfit GTR 2e is for you if you are a fitness lover and looking for a classy, smart battery with a budget.
